Product Introduction
Many bathroom exhaust fans in Hong Kong homes require a safe and reliable power connection point, which is exactly what the AvatarOn 13A Fused Connection Unit is designed for. This Schneider Electric connection unit features a 3-in-1 design: a double-pole switch, a fuse, and an LED indicator all in one. It handles switch control, overload protection, and power status indication simultaneously, making it an upgrade over traditional single-pole switch units.
Key Features
Its main selling point is the double-pole switch design, which cuts off both the Live and Neutral wires simultaneously when turned off, ensuring more thorough and safer power disconnection for maintenance or equipment replacement. Coupled with the built-in fuse for overload protection, it provides dual protection for your exhaust fan. The blue LED indicator on the panel lights up when the switch is ON, allowing you to see the power status at a glance without having to guess.
In terms of aesthetics, the AvatarOn series maintains a minimalist and premium style. This fused connection unit is available in four colors—White, Rose Gold, Dark Grey, and Wood—allowing it to match various interior design styles and remain consistent with other AvatarOn switch panels in your home.

The most typical application for this fused connection unit is for bathroom exhaust fans. Due to the humid environment of a bathroom, exhaust fan circuits require fuse protection, and the double-pole design provides peace of mind during future maintenance or replacement. Whether you are renovating or refurbishing your home, if you want to upgrade your electrical switches to the uniform AvatarOn series, this unit is a standard configuration for bathroom areas. Pairing it with other AvatarOn switch panels ensures a more consistent "Smart Home" interior style.
FAQ
Where is the AvatarOn Fused Connection Unit best installed?
It is most commonly used for bathroom exhaust fans. Its built-in fuse provides overload protection, and the double-pole switch allows for complete power disconnection during maintenance, making it particularly suitable for electrical appliances in humid environments that require independent protection.
What is the difference between a double-pole switch and a regular switch?
A regular single-pole switch only disconnects the Live wire, while the Neutral wire remains connected. A double-pole switch disconnects both the Live and Neutral wires, providing a more thorough power cut and ensuring greater safety when servicing or replacing bathroom appliances.
